One of the main benefits of purchasing EncasedBamboo® or BFCore® is its longevity. This is one of the main reasons homeowners and property developers are choosing hard flooring as a flooring solution.
Hard floors can last decades, as long as they’re well looked after. So, it’s essential to be aware of the dos and don’ts when it comes to caring for your floor.
Our floors are the worlds hardest and most sustainable, making it the perfect solution for being exposed to daily dangers.
With the correct maintenance and care, rest assured your floor will last for years to come! Here are some top tips to make your life easier.
- Remove loose dirt with a soft bristle broom
Try and keep your floor clean on a daily basis. We all know that daily activities could lead to debris etc entering your property. Try and keep this to a minimum and keep on top of the work.
- Use a vacuum to remove loose dirt often
The least amount of dirt in your property will obviously decrease the risk of damage to your floors. Ensure that this is done daily, or as frequent as you can.
- Wipe up liquid or food spills promptly
In doing so, this will reduce the risk of stains and damage etc to your floor.
- For general cleaning dip a clean cloth or sponge mop in cleaning solution and wring nearly dry. Clean floor and wipe dry with a towel as you go
- Place fabric gliders, also known as feet, on all items that are placed on the floor
This will again reduce the risk of damage due to furniture being laid on top.
- Never use a steam cleaner on EncasedBamboo® or BFCore® as this will damage the face of your flooring and will result in a void of warranty
- We suggest that you prevent dirt, grit and sand from getting inside your building by using dirt-trapping walk-off mats in all entryways
Vacuum regularly, as often as you vacuum carpets.
- Keep high heels in good repair
Worn heels that have exposed metal will dent any floor surface, even concrete.
Keeping your flooring in great condition, for years to come, isn’t a laborious task. If you keep on top of the maintenance then you will have no issues at all. Wouldn’t we all agree that you want your flooring to look the same as when it was fit? Well, this is definitely possible if you give your flooring the love it deserves.
